Nick Slim continues to show his excellent form at present as he took part in The First Tri in Lydney, Forest of Dean; his first triathlon of the season. Coming out of the water a little over a minute down from the leaders, Nick completed the bike leg over 4-minutes faster than anyone else. Holding on to his lead through the run section he took the win by a clear 3min 17s.
Chris Yip is showing ever increasing potential, taking two “wins” this weekend. The first being the MWTTS/Novice TT at Wolvey on the K41/10 course. Chris’ local course, he’s been quickly chipping away at his times when conditions allow. Clocking 23:37, Chris would record his fastest time of the season so far.
On Sunday Chris took on Coventry Road Club’s Haggar Bash, a handicapped reliability ride for club members. Chris stormed to the top of Dovers Hill after 40miles to take the fastest time of the day.
In Cambridgeshire, Jack O’Neill was once again representing Warwick Uni in the BUCS 25mile TT. A time of 53:20 on the Six Mile Bottom course saw Jack finish in 5th place, under a minute off the winning time of 52:21.
