A win for Nick Slim this weekend, but early season races can be a case of getting back to racing focus for others. It can be a learning curve to get things right, this is where talking through what went wrong with a coach can often set things right for the next race.
Clinterval Clients had mixed success this weekend, as you can read below…
Nick Slim had success this weekend in the MAD Dash Round 4 MTB XC event at Ebworth Estate near Stroud. Nick lead from the off, winning in a time of 1:27:29, being nearly four and a half minutes faster than second place!
Chris Yip was a DNF at the University of Birmingham 1-day Stage race; a split in the bunch in the 2nd stage circuit race put Chris out of the race after a strong TT earlier in the day.
Jack O’Neill was also unlucky in his road race, while the break went up the road, the bunch had no impetus to chase. Only a couple of miles before the finish, Jack got caught up in a crash, ending his race prematurely.
Ben Wimpory had some more success, but with some time off the TT bike, it was a case of getting back in the swing of things finishing in 22:55 in the YCF10 on the V910. Ben placed 13th after being a little bit keen in the first few miles.
