Scott Palmer gained enough points to move him up to 3rd Category road this weekend after another consistent result at Shrewsbury.
Once again competing at the Sundorne Sports Centre closed circuit, Scott has seriously upped his game after being coached by Clinterval this season. After getting lapped in these events last year, he’s now consistently proving to be one of the strongest men in the race.
After some poor bike handling skills from other competitors, yesterday Scott lost a couple of places in the final sprint, but held his own to take a great 7th place to back up his other performances recently. This has now given Scott enough points to move to 3rd category.
Meanwhile in Leicestershire, Jack O’Neill finished 15th in the Coalville Wheelers road race, an 80-mile event around the Griffydam circuit. After multiple attempts to break free from the bunch early on, Jack was in the mix at the finish to claim 15th spot in the E123 event.
